You're probably here wondering what Seanmas is. This site will hopefully give you all the information you may need to celebrate this major worldwide holiday. Seanmas is a multicultural non-religious festivity celebrated in many different ways. How you celebrate Seanmas is basically up to you but hopefully we can give you some inspiration.
Seanmas tends to start the Friday before Seanmas Day on the 1 April, and finishes the Sunday after 1 April.
We don't know when the first Seanmas was, it has been lost in the mists of time. We do know from historical records that it has been celebrated now for many many years.
It is easy for anyone to be involved and to celebrate the Seanmas festivities! You can celebrate it in any ways and as little or as much as you like. The main thing is that you must enjoy yourself and try to make the world a slightly better place.
We all celebrate differently and there is little in the way of tradition when it comes to Seanmas. Some enjoy spending time with loved ones and friends, some enjoy exploring the world while others take the time to reflect and learn. The choices are endless.
Other than the two being on the same day not really. We welcome April Foolery within Seanmas.
Seanmas day is always 1 April. The 'Period of Seanmas' exists for reasons of inclusivity so that no matter where you are in the world we are will always be celebrating together.
